About Us

Who We Are

Passion for Parkinson’s (PFP) was created in 2014 by a small group who shared a common goal –a passion and dedication to raising awareness and support for Parkinson’s Disease. In the subsequent 5 years, by hosting a variety of events with the support of family, friends and local businesses, the (PFP) committee continued to be a Fundraising leader for Parkinson Canada in the Halton/Peel region. In 2019 the (PFP) Committee hosted the annual Mississauga Super Walk. With support from the community, this event raised over $110,000 for Parkinson’s Canada- the largest amount ever raised for this event.

In 2020, amidst a challenging and isolating Covid-19 Health crisis, we focused our goal to support those impacted by Parkinson’s Disease in our community. The Passion for Parkinson’s Committee formed a federally registered, non-profit Foundation to directly support our local Parkinson Community in Halton/Peel.
